Meeting Details:
Focused Inquiry into Vaping Impacts on Health
Sherry Stade: Health Promoting Schools Coordinator
Angela Lawrence: Drug and Alcohol Clinician
Can vaping contribute to a new generation becoming addicted to nicotine that has never smoked before? In this parent session, we will discuss relevant evidence-based information surrounding vaping devices and ejuice. We will address the negative short term health impacts of consuming high quantities of nicotine as the active ingredient in e-juice and the potential harm of inhaling chemical flavours. We will also examine the short term effects and long term impacts of nicotine dependency on the developing teen brain. Parents will walk away with tools and resources for their families to gain knowledge about addictive behaviors and how to start a quit plan.
